Operation New Life - charity trapshoot: June 13th

This is a message from club member Barry Sorrels, he spoke briefly about this event at this years Firestone Porsche Car Show.

I want to inform you of an event coming up this summer -- about which Lynda and I are really excited. You may know we are involved with Operation New Life, a surgical missions group providing surgical care to the very poor in Honduras and using these surgical opportunities to train and mentor Honduran surgeons, medical school residents, and surgical personnel.

Our 4th Annual Benefit Trapshoot is coming up on June 13th. We hope you will join us this year and shoot trap at Remington Arms. No experience required. We furnish everything you need. You can form a team of five and join the competition. If you cannot attend please help by participating as a corporate or team sponsor for this year’s event. Any donation to the mission will be put to good use as our operating expenses are low and money raised goes to provide surgery for the needy in Honduras. Please scroll down and check out the following electronic flier about the event.

If you want to learn more about sponsorship opportunities, you can visit our website at www.operation-new-life.org – click on the Events tab and look for the “Operation New Life Benefit Trapshoot” link. Of course, you can contact me directly, or contact our trapshoot coordinator at trapshoot@operation-new-life.org. Remember, you don’t have to be an experienced shooter to enjoy this fun-filled event – and if you cannot be personally involved, your contribution can enable area youth to experience the trapshoot under the guidance of Arkansas Game and Fish Commission while supporting Operation New Life.

new Ozark PCA screen saver!

Another project that I've wanted to do but hadn't gotten around to it - a screensaver for our club. Well, I've finally developed a screen saver that shows over 65 images of Porsche's - some current models - some older models. The screen saver is optimized for screen resolutions 1024x768 or larger, and includes an installer. Just download and run it.

You can get it from our website here: http://www.ozarkpca.org/downloads.asp

I welcome your feedback.

new Videos page!

One of the projects that I've wanted to start was to develop a page dedicated to Porsche videos - commercials (new and old), as well as TV clips, movie clips and personal-home videos from members, etc. We have it!...at least a good start.

On our videos page, I've categories the videos so you can view old Porsche commercials if you want to, or jump into in-car videos of Porsche racing. Most of these are on YouTube. I'll be updating this page as time permits.

>> Click here to visit our videos page.

If you know of videos that should be linked here, just send me (the webmaster) the info.
